Hi everyone

I havent posted for a while but have had a worrying few days

Tuesday night Sol went off his food a little. He was also sick twice on Tuesday and once on Wednesday morning. All 3 time he was sick was just liquid but it was pink which worried me. I took him straight to the vet on Wednesday morning. He took Sols temperature which was normal and gave him an antibiotic injection. When he had his injection he went wild and sratched the vet. The vet was shocked and said it was out of charactor for Sol as he is so laid back. Any way she gave us some antibiotic tablets to start today and also (i cant remember the name of it) some liquid which is a little like Gaveston apparently. The vet thought he had a typical Bengal tummy.
In rambleing a bit but bear with me... I have had to come to Devon for a few days so Sol is with my other half. I left home after the vets on Wednesay. When we bought him back from the vet he had a really runny pooh, was like liquid and that looked pink. He was still off his food. My OH rang the vet back on Thursday as Sol was still not eating (he is drinking though) and had been sick again twice and had the poohs. The vet told my OH to try Sol on some tuna as the smell might tempt him to eat. He ate a little bit then went back to sleep.
Anyway today we have taken him for blood tests which some come back early next week. I feel funny as I dont go home until tomorrow night and miss the little turnip head so much I cant wait to see him.
I'm so sorry for going on but as you can imagine I am really worried. I have just this 2nd spoke to my OH and he said he has just bought him back from the vet , he went straight to the food and ate a little bit. Oh one more thing, his coat has gone greasy looking as well. He hasnt been sick today which is good.The vet also wants stool samples over the next 3 days.
Has anyone come across anything like this? Am I over worrying?

oh poor you & sol
it could be so many things, but the vets are doing right by taking bloods & stool samples. hopefully they come up with the answer quickly, & hopefully the little man will get his appetite back soon.

not long now til tomorrow & you can be back with him to give him lots of snuggles.

Hello, I've been wondering whether or not to post this but I decided I should. If the little fella is no better this morning my advice is to insist a vet sees him ASAP. It just sounds too similar to what happened with our tabby cat back in February, no temperature, vomiting, greasy fur etc. and the vets gave her some antibiotics and told us it was probably just a tummy bug. It was something much worse and if they had picked up on it quicker she would have probably been saved.

I don't want to scare you when in your case it may be something minor, but I thought it would be wrong of me to say nothing at all.

Great news
over the past 2 days Sol has returned to normal. He is eating well and his usually beautiful coat is starting to look great again.
He even climbed up the curtains last night. Still waiting for the blood test results but its looking good
