Sol's blood results have come back. He has Pancrianitus (sorry for the dodgy spellng) The vet has sad high protein, low carb diet. I've been out shopping. I cant beleive wet food has such a low protein count., like 9%. Now I will be on the web looking for cat food. Any ideas off anyone will be greatly appreciated. Ive bought some tinned tuna,pilchards,sardines,prawns and some fresh chicken.
I think I will give them fresh first thing in the morning and last thing at night, then in between give them dried. I've bought Royal Canin which is 42% protein.
The vet has said that prevention is better than cure. His blood sugar was high as well but the vet said she wasnt that worried about that as it was only slightly higher than normal and he was stressed and that affects the blood sugar.

Does he mean pancreatitis? If so, I think that's what Hestia had shortly after Michelle adopted her and it was temporary but can recur so you just need to keep an eye out for a repeat of the symptoms. You definitely do need a good quality food - be careful with tinned tuna though as that's not good for them because of the magnesium content. Fresh is OK I think but I'm not totally sure.
