we went out and purchased lots of samples of dried food, and even sent off for small packets, we found that they prefered Hills for adults, Lamb is better but we offer chicken too. Hestia has to be watched carefully, we felt she was losing weight again and put her back onto wet food 3 x daily, its manic, I have to seperate her from the others, I am clawed today from Daisy really bad, but we are persisting with it.

I hope Sol is better soon.

Have ordered some Bozita wet last night and a small sample of Orijen dry. Have been looking a bit more at raw feeding. I dnt think I could go 100% that way but for maybe a daily treat. Maybe prawns,chicken wings. I read on the BARF website not to give cats raw fish. I've never heard of this before. has anyone else?

Hi I give my boy raw, chicken mince, wings, legs, neck, beef mince, turkey, and Royal c kitten food (dry). He has had fish (cooked) but he is not interested but I haven't tried him on raw fish... the breeder said if we wanted to give him fish it had to be cooked! I am sure cats who live in the quay used to have raw fish heads maybe they are just used to it and ours arn't..

Too much raw fish can cause Thiamine deficiency. Cooking destroys the Thiaminase enzyme responsible for the deficiency.

Too much oily fish eg tuna can cause Vitamin E deficiency.
