I do the sleepy routine with William. He won't let you do it if he's awake. The times i have tried and he just gets really angry.
Saffy lets you do both feet, no probs.

If all else fails, pop down to the vets! (If you have an open surgery then you can get it done without an appointment)
They'll do it in the blink of an eye and you'll walk out wondering how on earth the vet managed it and kept their arms intact..

my initial advice is 2 people!!
one to hold and maybe scruff a little if needed while the other clips!what clippers are you using?
the best ones are the scissor ones not the put nail into device with spring thing!
failing that your vet should be able to do it for about £20 with a knockout gas called Cevo, it just takes the edge off the cat and the dose used doesnt knock them right out!

i followed a discussion by some of the american breeders about this. the general consensus was it's good for dogs but no good for cats. as cats' claws grow in layers & this is like a sander or file, it splinters the claws.

a clean cut is much better.

Thanks guys for the input I guess I will not get one now.
