What a week we have had here. Amber started with loose motions last saturday but nothing out of the ordinary for a Bengal nicking the kits weaning food. She was a little quiet but nothing major. However as sat pm went on i got more concerned about her but nothing i could put my finger on, About 6am next morning she vomited and it stunk so i got her to the vet. Temp high side of normal and she was a little dehydrated. Her belly was also a little tender but again nothing to write home about. She was given fluids and seemed fine lafter that but wasn't much interested in food.
Monday am back for check up - temp normal, she was bright but you could now feel a sauage shaped lump in her belly.

So off she went to theatre. The Bowel involved was neucrotic and had to be removed, also lots of lymph nodes were enlarged so a biopsy was taken also. She came home that evening as it decided i was able to nurse her correctly at home(ex vet nurse) and today it was decided she is fine. The vet cant beleive how well she is now.
The weird thing is, this condition in adults is rare but they have had 3 others in recently. They have had more in october than in the last 4 years!

So, its just fingers crossed the biopsy comes back clear.

The kits are fine, luckily, when no mum available they decided that kitten food was ok to eat afterall and are now all weaned (6wks old).

Now off to get a hair colour to hide all my new grey hairs!
