How old is he? We adopted a kitten from a shelter that was 12 weeks old and he started to act this way. Sleepy, not eating. We held off taking him the vet because the shelter said it was likely a reaction to his vaccination. He died after two days I have never felt so guilty about anything in my life. So if you have an emergency vet I would go. Especially if he is very young.

I hope he is ok!!

No im not aware of any 24hr vets anywhere near my area at all.

He is 1 year old.. could it be he's diet as ive been feeding him dry biscuits and whiskas "chunky meat" for the past few weeks plus some cooked or boiled chicken once a week or so?

I hope the vet is open tomorrow!

I'm glad he is a bit older. I think it is more concerning in a young kitten. If you call your regular vet they will sometimes have on their answering machine what to do or where to take your animal in an emergency.

Thats exactly how Hestia went, she slept all the time, was totally lethargic, and never ate, her bones literally stuck out through her poor skin, she could barely open her eyes, we took her to the vet, they admitted her for bloods, and was imediately put on a drip, she was diagnosed with pancreatitis. I hope your cat is sorted soon. Hestia was fed prescription food for awhile for sensitive stomach, but is now putting on weight healthily and is back to her bouncy self.
