Harrison has had diarrhea since he got here last Wednesday. I thought maybe it was stress. He is on the same food, I didn't change it so that is not it. This morning he went on a towel in the bathroom and it had blood in it. Should I take him to the vet? What could be causing this?

If you make a vet appointment, try to get a fresh stool sample to take with you for them to test. It will save you time from having to take one back later, and it will save your cat discomfort in case they decide to go in and take a sample from him

I agree, it could be stress, but it is always good to have it checked.

Hope he is ok and everything checks out good!

Thanks! I took him to the vet yesterday with a sample. So I am waiting on the results. The vet thinks it is stress also. But now we have a problem. He is not using the litter box anymore. Not for pee or pooh!! I don't know what to do.

also, be careful you dont "watch" too carefully as that can cause them to get shy!
