Bacterial overgrowth is quite common, especially in youngsters. Usually a five day course of antibiotics to kill off all the bacteria then a five day course of probiotics to put back the right balance of good flora does the trick

To be quite honest, I give all my cats/kittens a daily dose of probiotics to keep their guts and immune systems up to scratch.
