I am so sorry for your loss :cry:

Katie from what you have described I would say poor Indy had HCM. Reasons being how you explained about the paralysis of back legs & the definite for me was how much was needed to put the little mite to sleep. As HCM effects the heart & arteries it is harder for the injection to work.

I just hope that more & more breeders decide to HCM scan their breeding animals as to not let poor people like yourself expereince this. I know testing may not eradicate this awful disease but at least if us breeders test & only use our cats that are tested negative at that time if they do unfortunatelt go on to develope HCM for those of us who test we can hopefully cut it down at least.

Those who choose to breed blind will I think have to live with their own conscience I'm afraid imo :roll:
