When I got Mojo 3 weeks ago, I had to unfortunately change his food right away because I could not find what the breeder was feeding. As expected he developed diarrhea. It didn't clear up though so we took him to the vet. They did two fecal exams, a direct and a float. They said he didn't have worms but he had colitis. He was put on Metronidazole, 25mg in morn. and 25mg evening. He has two doses left and he still has diarrhea and his tummy is still somewhat swollen as it has been. I will be calling the vet in the morning as they are closed for holiday. I am wondering though if the food is not agreeing with him and if I should try something else? I am feeding and have been for 3 weks now the BLUE spa select for kittens. It has no wheat or corn in it. And it seems to be a pretty good food with good ingredients. Any help or advice is appreciated.

royal canin is good too, it has special ones for belly problems. all our cats switched over to the dry with no problems.

I thought that the bengals couldn't have corn or wheat products? I just checked the royal canin and it has corn meal, corn gluten and wheat gluten....or is there a special royal canin type of food?

I haven't checked the orijen yet but was wondering...don't wild cats get grains from eating stomache and intestine content from their kills? so don't caqts need some grains?
I am not trying to be smart just trying to find the best food possible for Mojo. I know more about dogs and their food than the cat food.

That's a good point Susan mmmmmmmmmmm not sure on that one.

I understand what you mean though as dog diets I feel should be tripe a natural way of feeding our dogs. As I have seen quoted on a dog breeding site in the UK you don't see dogs on the point of starvation in underdeveloped countries eating growing crops.

Not sure on cats though hopefully somebody may have an answer
