I always ask to see the same vet not sure if I offend anybody when doing so but at the end of the day you are paying for a service so ultimately the choice is yours to who you would like to see.
Like you said you need to have trust with someone when they are dealing with our loved ones so you go girl!!

When I make an appointment at the local GP for myself, I always ask to see a specific doctor.
There are probably 8 GPs that work at this clinic, but I want to see the same one ach time because I have built a professional/medical relationship with this GP, and more importantly - I trust him to give me good advice.

I don't see why things should be any different for your bengals

When I was looking for a vet to treat our two girls, i rang every vet in town, approx 6 of them to get prices for neutering, I mentioned to all the receptionists that they were Bengals, the one I chose i found out that the vet herself has Bengals, so I was so pleased I rang round first.

Not only did I find a breeder that was a vet, i found a vet that had bengal and bengal cross cats herself.

you may phone around first before you make a decision.

hey guys. thank you so much for the encouraging responses, i got home last night and saw goblin and my heart just broke... the idea that he could have been in pain or discomfort and i didnt know...

still, at least he is being treated now. he was an absolute superstar when we put in his drops both last night and this morning. i had visions of him stalking off and refusing to come near me for hours afterwards but actually after he has had 2 minutes of "im not happy leave me alone" he comes straight back to me and jumps up into my arms for a kiss and a cuddle. the vet actually commented to my hubby yesterday that it was unusual for a cat to so openly go to a human for "protection" and comfort. I guess he really does see us as his parents. i know i couldnt consider him as anything other than my child

we are lucky to have such a loving forgiving little man.

i have decided that i am going to stay with the surgery but ask for my records to be noted to show that i am only prepared to meet with nice vet.

and its payday today and my bonus has been paid! so i think some lucky little guy is gonna be getting the exciting ceiling high cat tree i have had my eye on....

hiya, you could always ask for nice vet as has been suggested, i do this at my practise as i like to see the same one because she gets to know the cats after time & builds a relationship with them. it helps that she's a very good vet who is willing to work with me as a breeder.
if nice vet isn't there & it's an emergency, see the other one, but if you are not happy with the results, book a further appointment to see nice vet for a second opinion ok, this will work out a little more costly but if there is anything immediate that needs doing, hopefully the other vet will be competent enough to recognise it...which will cover things in the meantime until you can get an appointment with nice vet.

if it's an emergency & you're really not happy with what the other vet has said, you can always take him to another practise just for that day too.
