Hi guys. Quick disclaimer - this post is gonna get kinda gross, so I apologise in advance!

My two year old male Bengal, Tiger (who is neutered), has recently starting doing something a bit odd. He often comes and sits on me when I'm in my dressing gown (bath robe) after I've got out of the bath, but the last 2 nights it's been accompanied by some slightly odd behaviour...

He turns away from me, so his back end's towards me, and starts pummelling my legs but at the same time he does 2 or 3 quick pulses with his back legs - almost like a little twerk - then he pauses a few seconds and does it again, and so on.

I wondered if he had an itchy butt and was trying to twitch it perhaps, but then tonight he did it again, and when he moved he'd left a little stain of something on my dressing gown (not 100% sure if it was poop) and he had a boner, which then quickly disappeared. He also quickly turned round, found the spot he'd left and started licking it enthusiastically (sorry! I told you it was going to get gross!)

I did some reading online and found some scary stuff about Feline Urethral Obstruction, so I wondered if it was that and maybe the spot was blood not poop? However, he has none of the other symptoms for that, and otherwise seems in very good health and very content. He's not licking or grooming excessively and he doesn't appear to be in any pain or distress. He's not going to the toilet too often and he doesn't seem to be having any trouble "going" when he does, although I'll keep an eye on it. In fact he's now laid out on me completely chilled out, in his normal floopy style.

I haven't seen him doing this "twerking" at any other time in the day - just when he gets on me post-bath.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas as to what it could be?

You both are super cute. My suggestion is to have someone take a video of this and send it to your vet and see what they say. It is really difficult from your description to attempt any type of diagnosis and you have no idea what it might be in reality. This could be nothing at all, or something to be concerned about. Anytime a cat does something out of the ordinary, a vet should be consulted. It's always better to be safe than sorry. And let us know what this turns out to be .... I'm really curious.

Haha thanks Sherry! He’s my daft cuddly bear.

I’m off for a bath shortly, so I’ll get my camera ready! Thanks for the advice. You’re so super helpful!
