Hello. I am new to this forum and the world of bengal cats. I recently purchased a 2 year old bengal female. I have had her in the home for 7 days now. She is still adjusting, exploring, getting use to new smells and sounds etc. I know this is a slow process and will take time. She has her own bedroom with cat tree. Toys. Litter box. Perches. Food and water etc. One thing i have noticed the past couple days is she is frequently using the litter box too pee. Always in the litter box. Never on the floor or elsewhere in the house.... once she has done her thing, she cleans herself quickly then back to playing. And she shows no signs of pain when urinating. Just very Frequent!! I do plan on slowly switching foods in the next day or 2 also. So my question is..... has anyone experinced this before? Could this be do to being so new in the house...separation anxiety.... stressed... new environment... marking her territory etc...?? Again i have only had her in the home for 7 days. Otherwise very healthy, friendly, playful sweet girl. Thank you!

Did you take your new Bengal to the vet? Frequent urination can be a sign of the lower urinary tract disease. You can read about it here: https://www.felineliving.net/common-cat-diseases/#Lower_Urinary_Tract_Disease

Even if that is the diseases symptom your cat is experiencing keep in mind that it is not serious and it can be treated! Wishing you all the best to you and your Bengal :)

Any time there is a change in a cat's behavior, a vet visit is in order, however, you have only had this kitty a week (now about two weeks). Did you check with the previous owner or shelter about the litter box habits? Some cats may go more frequently than others. Is the cat drinking a lot of water? That could be a sign of diabetes. There may not be anything wrong with your kitty == that's just your kitty. Mine pees several times a day -- maybe 5. Plus he sprays on our twice daily walks.

I know you do not want to stress out your kitty, but a visit to the vet may be in order for no other reason to get a wellness checkup and start a medical history on her. They can run a simple tests (blood / urine) just to check things out and ease your mind.
