my girl's got runny stool's

she's had runny stool's now for a good couple of month's. what could be causing it? am a member on another cat forum, & they said give her wet food with more protein in, as in Felix/Whisker's. she's currently on Felix As Good As It Look's, still no change. would raw fish be ok to give her?

also, i noticed today her bottom look's sore. i havn't had a good look yet, i will try to later on when she's finished eating. what other thing's can i do, as i hate seeing her like this?

Hi,

she might need worming ?
I give my cats Drontal or Milbemax. The milbemax are a smaller tablet and much easier to swallow.

Does she eat complete dried food such as Hills, Royal Canin etc ?
It might be worth taking her off the tinned food for awhile and see if she improves.

You could try giving her 3 small meals a day of raw mince turkey for a few days. This will put the good bacteria back into her stomach.

Get her vet checked for coccidia and giardia. Treat accordingly. If she is clear of parasites and still runny, buy some Iams Hairball dry. Dont know why but its only Iams Hairball that does it. Couple of weeks should have lovely, firm stools. If not, she probably has some sort of food intorerance and it will be a case of an elimination diet to find the cause.
