Our latest addition who is now 6 months has stinky ears - how do i go about cleaning them? Ive never had this problem before, all my other cats have managed their own ears care.

It could be a yeast infection down in the ear canal. Cats ears don't normally smell. I would take your kitty to a vet. He may need ear drops to clear it up.

Pearl had smelly ears when I got her, took her to the vets it was ear mites, he cleaned them and put some drops on the back of her neck that kills ear mites, fleas and ticks.

I didn't know Pearl had them until the vet looked in her ears, she wasn't scratching them, it could also be ear canker, that's smells as well, you will need treatment for what ever it is.

Only a vet can properly diagnose and treat an ear condition. Happy you will be taking her.
