I have two bengals - one is a 18 month snow bengal (his name is Klein) and he is as healthy as can be. Beau, my 5 month old silver bengal is having some digestive tract issues. When I first got him the breeder had him on Royal Canin and his stool was perfectly fine - Klein eats Earthborn Holistic food and has since he was just a kitten. I had problems with them eating eachothers food constantly so I slowly switched Beau over to earthborn holistic as well and he began experiencing constant diarrhea so I again switched him back to royal canin for a few months and then his stool problem persisted so I slowly transferred him back to earthborn holistic and the stool issues have not been resolved. I have read up on TF and other issues - I had a stool sample done (not TF) and it came back fine. If one had TF, wouldn't the other as well? I am pretty stumped here as to what I can do to help the poor guy. Any advice is appreciated!

It may be worth having him tested for TF just to rule it out. Having said that, I have two brothers, one with tummy issues and one with a tummy made of iron!

Hendrix has to eat Royal Canin Sensible which has highly digestible proteins and has firmed his stools up. However, he was having problems again, so I took him to the vet who said it was probably diet related. Turns out he was nicking Jagger's dry food which his stomach couldn't tolerate. You may find Beau is stealing Kleins food and if he can't tolerate it, his stool problems will persist.

I've had to buy microchip feeders to ensure no more stealing happens and hendrix's tummy is much better. It will never be perfect as I can't control what he eats outside, but it has made a difference! I also give him a probiotic every day to help as well.

I hope you manage to get to the bottom of what is happening soon.

If your kitties each use their own litter box, then any parasites are not normally transmitted. If they use the same one, you're pressing your luck if one is infected as it is common for both to get the parasite. It's possible your little one just has a sensitive tummy and needs special food for that. You might also want to try a probiotic for felines. There are various brands out there, but I use Purina FlortiFlora which can be purchased through Amazon and I think even Chewy.com sells it. You simply sprinkle it over any wet food. I tried to cut back to just 3 times a week with Raiden and the loose stools returned! So I'm back to giving it daily and he's fine again. Some kitties just need a little bit more help with their digestive system. A lot of the food manufacturers make special food for sensitive stomachs. So Google and see what is available or consult with your vet.
