I would definitely look for another vet. Half of their job is explaining how to keep your babies healthy, and if you don't know what's wrong with them or how it happened, there's no way for you to do that. In my area, when I was shopping around for vets they all offered to do a free 15 minute consultation just so that they could meet Templeton and I could meet them, and we could all see if we were on the same page. It wasn't a full physical, obviously, just a chance to see what their style was. It really helped me, and I'd recommend asking around your area to find out if there's anyone who'd be willing to do a similar thing.

Do you have any friends, neighbours or work colleagues with cats who could tell you which vet they use? That's how I found my vet (and my GP!!)

Not from your area but my vet is a vetinery hospital. They have to have higher standards to be approved. If the recommendation you have already been given doesn't work out it would be worth looking on the internet or yellow pages to see if there is one near you.

It certainly worked for me I have been using them since 1979 when we moved into our present home!
