I've been giving my bengal girl pardyne for a few months now. When I got her (about 2 months ago) she was an itchy thing. Thinking I might try a new flea med, as some vets were recommending this over Advantage; which honestly I've had great success with my pup. I had noted something white in her back-side, but thought "no way can that be a worm" as I'm giving her Paradyne, and that has a worm med in it.

Well we keep seeing them, and my daughter said she saw it moving while hanging part way out (ewwwww). So what are your recommendataions now? Should I get her an over-the-counter de-wormer???? I am not worrying about the fleas right now, as this type of year, I usually stop giving my pup hers?

Thank you,

Becca

I am not a vet, but I'm going out on a limb and say that Paradyne may help to prevent the parasites it lists, but if you already have an infestation, it may not be strong enough to kill what's already there. Thus .... I'd get something that is specifically for the worm you kitty has (probably round worm). You need to kill it off and then the Paradyne should prevent an infestation. I don't understand the medications that control 15 different things -- there is no ONE medication that can do that without having different medications within the medication. And the medication can't be strong enough to poison the animal -- so I'm thinking there is a little of this and little of that, but not enough to take care of your kitty's worms. Check with you vet. I'm sure they can prescribe something that can take the worm population out and Paradyne or some other medication can control it from there.

Sherry - that is kinda what I'm thinking, but it's been so long since I've had a cat, and my little chihuhua hasn't had problems. Thank you so much!
