Bless her! I know you feel bad for her but it really is great news if you know what I mean?! No nasty growths to worry about, just a slightly infected wound that will clear up quickly. So glad for you that the worry is gone. Also, and I know this is kind of selfish, but when they are feeling slightly poorly they are just sooooooo cuddly

Thankfully, she hasn't been acting ill at all. She's a ball of energy, and the only time I get a cuddle is when she finally passes out near my legs on the couch, lol.

The wounds look MUCH better this morning than yesterday after they were first lanced.

Hate to hear that she had abscesses, but it's great news that they will heal and she will be fine and it was nothing serious! Giving a cat anything by mouth is not fun -- eyes are even worse. Thankfully, the last time Raiden was in a cat fight, the vet gave him a shot of antibiotics that lasts 14 days to prevent the infection. Unfortunately, after the infection sets in -- you have to go the other route. Good luck! She's tiny, so it should be fairly easy to control her. Larger cats have four legs and they use all of them. Now you can relax!!!

Thanks, Sherry! We gave her the 4th dose (out of 20, ugh) this morning, and it was the first time I had to "burrito" her in a towel to do it. It must taste awful to her, she's really not a fan! I give her a treat right after to make it slightly non-horrible for her, but it probably is unpleasant either way. Our morning routine will be much simpler next week when this isn't part of it anymore, lol!

Oh the relief of getting that last and final dosage into her -- and no more!!! She will be happy, but you will be happier. I know it's torment for the kitty. They just don't like having anything forced into their mouth. Hang in there.
