We had a big :celebrate: moment over the New Years weekend, Diesel is once again jumping onto the kitchen counters. It's the very first time since his injury that he has been able to do it. He's so proud of himself too  he keeps jumping up there and just walking around.

Still a slight limp, sometimes it's a little more pronounced, but this week (the 8th) we're at 3 months post op which is how long they said it would take to fully heal.

Gosh, Donna, the time has really flown by, hasn't it! A high jump is a great thing. I still think it may take a while longer -- three months is a generalization but Diesel still has a limp that will, hopefully, go away at some point.

Go Diesel! That's great news. Has his fur grown back?

The fur is growing back very slowly. His leg is fuzzy now, but the new growth is still quite a bit shorter than the rest of his fur.

I'm just so relieved that he's actually able to jump again. I was    when I saw him jump up onto the counter. I was starting to worry that we would have to take him back for an evaluation. Sometimes they have to bandage up the good leg to force them to use the repaired leg and build the muscle back up.

He was not happy I was trying to get a picture of his "boo boo leg" he kept running away from me. You can see his stripes are offset where the scar is on his leg

And in this one you can see the fur is still shorter on his leg than on his body. I'm a little surprised at how long it's taking to grow back. In the past when we've shaved a moggie I don't think it's taken this long.

Oh he looks so beautiful. I love seeing photos of him. Hi leg fur blends right in. You can barely tell.
