Thank you all for the kind words. It is hard to say no to him sometimes
We had an eventful weekend. Friday night we decided to try letting him stay out since he's been doing so well. I woke up about midnight and found him laying on the family room floor with his incision bleeding, he had licked the scab off the whole thing
Thankfully his sutures are still in so it was not opened up, it was just bleeding where he pulled the scab off. So I put all clean bedding into the crate and put him back in there.
He's been in the crate most of the weekend, with some time out only while we can supervise him. When he's out he'll get "twitchy" like he has an itch he can't scratch then he'll start running around like a nut and go under the couch and start fussing with the incision. When he's in the crate he doesn't bother it. I'm guessing that when he's more active it's either itching more or it just feels odd and that's why he picks at it. So the plan is 1 more week of crate rest with some exercise time each night. He is starting to walk a little better, still limping as expected but not as badly
Here's one of him Saturday morning
Here's one from Sunday, he decided to burrow under one of the blankets in the crate
