Hi Guys,

We took our female to the vets the other day as she was throwing up probably twice a day, mainly after feeding.

The vet checked everything and she seemed OK, gave her a shot to control stomach acid and another shot for anti-sickness (which she did not like). She also said to keep her off raw meat (http://www.purrform.co.uk/farmed-rabbit ... d-ox-heart) and just feed her cooked chicken for a few days as it's "easier" on her stomach. We've also to give her Pro-Kolin+ (a probiotic) twice a day.

All of this seemed to work that was until today I put her back on raw, she seemed to be back to normal, but now she's throwing up after every feed again. She was sick three times today.

Any ideas?

We have a second bengal who is fine, not throwing up or anything.

Probably going to call the vet in the morning. Is it the food? Is it behavioural?

It sounds like it's the food. There is something her body is not tolerating and it's making her sick. Poor thing.

It looks like the primary protein in that particular food is rabbit, she may be allergic to that or to the ox heart. If you can get some smaller pouches of the other protein sources they sell you could try those and see if she tolerates any of them better. If she has the same result on all of them you may need to try another brand and compare ingredients.

I agree, it's the food! Go back to what was working and keep your bengal on that for a while. Maybe the digestive system just has to work through some things. Bad bacteria can cause things. Vomiting isn't fun for humans and even less fun for kitties and you do not want the vomiting to continue if you can change the food and help your kitty! It could be just some bad batch of something as well.
