Several times I have noticed my sweet Blondie breathes very rapidly when she is asleep. I am not sure if this is due to dreaming or if she could have a health issue I am unaware of. Her side moves up and down very quickly for a long time. She doesn't do this all the time but often enough that I am wondering why. She seems fit as a fiddle otherwise. She is very active and runs around like lightening and scampers up and down her tall gym. I have never noticed this rapid breathing when she is awake.

I am not sure if Blondie is ill or not, but I do know that a normal cat whilst fast asleep is supposed to breathe at less than 30 respirations per second.
