I am posting on behalf of the Bengal we have just adopted, Crazy Philosopher Raptor.

He is a 6 year old silver F2 Bengal. Rescued from a breeding mill, fostered for 6 months back to health, and four weeks out of the rescue center.

We are novice to Bengal care! Well aware...

Our domestic cats we've always wiped their eye infections with a warm wash clothe, pretty basic.

Along with a respiratory disease, Philosopher has an eye infection.

Is there a special way I can treat his eye? It's a pretty standard issue cat eye.

I take it you have been to the vet? If not then you need to so they can prescribe a course of antibiotic eye drops, but also to make sure the eye is not damaged in any way. They do this by placing a dye in the eye to look for any ulceration. Please do not buy anything yourself before having the eye professionally examined.

He needs a trip to the vet for some antibiotic drops and possibly steroid drops if he's got swelling. We've been through it with several of our cats as well as our dogs at one point or another. It's worth going to the vet and getting the proper medication so there isn't any long term damage to the eye or tear ducts.
