Mine was a comprehensive full fecal. This is the description from their website:

FDPP
Diarrhoea RealPCR™ Panel (Comprehensive)—Feline
Clostridium perfringens enterotoxin A gene, Cryptosporidium spp., feline coronavirus (FCoV), feline panleukopenia virus, Giardia spp., Salmonella spp., Toxoplasma gondii and Tritrichomonas foetus RealPCR™ tests.

Some of the other full fecal tests do not include TF.

Samples should be a pooled sample over a couple of days, refrigerated between sampling. As many parasites are shed intermittently.

Finally got it now, gave Clive's samples to vet - it is £113 in fact for the test and takes 10 days
they also charged me to fill in Insurance Claim form £8 !
anyone else pays to fill in insurance claim form ?

Yep, mine charge for insurance firms as well!

The test sounds the same price as mine so it's probably the same test.... Fingers crossed for you x

Got my results today , gave the samples last Friday. A bit too soon, do you think?
All results are negative.
If so, why do we have loose stool, what else shall I test?

Hi everyone, didn't realize anyone had replied to this.

Just wanted to let you guys know zoologix is legit, my cat also did have TF.

Treated with the standard Ronidazole 30mg/kg per day, and the symptoms cleared up halfway through and I treated my other cat as well even though he probably didn't have it given their limited exposure. They have since been separated much to their (and my) dismay.

Unfortunately symptoms all returned quite quickly after being off the Ronidazole. Diarrhea after about 3 days, blood after a week, mucous strands, shiny Vaseline look, and rotten egg smell at about 9 days. Didn't bother to retest as it seemed pretty clearcut to me.

Giving a second round a try at the old recommended twice a day dosage and keeping a careful eye on the kitten. Seems to be tolerating it fine so far.

Symptoms cleared up this time in 48 hours (quicker than the first round so that's a good sign). Hopefully they stay gone this time as splitting my house (which is mostly open) in half is a real chore and I'm growing fairly frustrated.

We'll see how it goes. I see a lot of conflicting information about multiple treatments and increasing dosage working or not working, but I have to try something having another healthy cat in the house.

Also alternating between fortiflora and benebac on the food.

Rally, good to hear it's going well for you. Edit: Sorry just reread your post and can understand your frustration!

I've just started treatment on both cats today. I wasn't given any advice from the vet  whether to separate them or not so I've put one cat in a spare bedroom and Dexter in the back room.

I don't feel optimistic (I know I should as I now eventually have the correct treatment) but I've been through so many treatments only for the sloppy poo to return.

I feel this is the end of the road for us if this treatment doesn't work. We can't carry on with this chronic poo problem forever. Dh is really getting fed up of it all.

Well mine certainly is seeming to respond better faster to the second course of Ronidazole. I'm remaining optimistic that that's a good sign.

I know how you feel though, it's driving me crazy to keep them separate I have to have boxes in the rooms with hard wood. The litter is already tracked everywhere a day after I've vacuumed. Food bits everywhere since the food bowls are in two different areas. Water everywhere because they both like to play with their water bowls. They are both driving me nuts from being separated.

But I feel this dose is gonna work probably.
If not, I don't know what I'll do because I don't think upping the dose again is an option.

Fingers crossed for you. Keep us informed on how it's going.

Diarrhea stayed away for the 2 weeks of treatment and an additional week.

It returned but didn't have mucous / blood / terrible smell, so i decided to try out zoologix and run a full panel.

Came back clean for trich and everything else, but positive for campylobacter.

Treating him for that now -_-

now sure how that happened. Maybe got a bad can of catfood? The diarrhea is manageable at this point but I still want it gone. We'll see how it goes

That's great he tested clear for TF and hopefully once he's treated for the campylobacter he will be ok. I know what you mean about wanting it all gone. I feel the same about Dexter.
