Interesting! Thanks for the reinforcement--maybe there's some truth to it.

BTW, for ten years, my 3 cats used _no_ litter. It wa a joy! I'd go in the bathroom and one by one they'd use the pan, I'd rinse it out shower to toilet and they'd be on their ways. NO LITTER, but, as you said, wet paws!
These cats won't do that. boohoo.

Take a look at this - Merlin has one, and he perches three feet on the doorway and pees into the corner. Because it's covered it never leaks. He uses wood pellets so it's incredibly easy to keep fresh and clean as well..
