Hi all, well I finally picked up my new boy last night. He is 15 weeks old and a lovely kitten (Mr Bojangles). Vet check today was great! I was wondering if I should be concerned that he has not done his business, no pee no poop for the last almost 24 hours. This morning my Vet said not to worry as he has been under some stress (1.5 hour drive and then a lot of handling this morning by the Vet not to mention a new home). He has eaten a little and had some water but nothing else. He is playing when engaged but obviously still a little overwhelmed.

Should I be worried or just wait and see.

Give him a little bit of time, its a very stressful time for him. If he doesn't go soon tho a vet visit might be in order.
A friend of mine suggested to me when my kitten didn't appear to go to use a damp cloth and gentle wipe their bottom, this is what their mum would do to make them go toilet - you see hand raised big cats having the same done.

Thank you for the advice - it worked! He finally went! I was really getting worried! He is starting to settle in now. Hopefully it is smooth sailing for a bit! Thanks again!

I think that stress will slow them down a bit. We were camping last weekend and Quasar did not poop for 5 days. As soon as he got home and back to his "jungle" he pooped fairly quickly. He usually poops every 1 to 2 days.
