So Biggie's poo was really REALLY wierd and gunky yesterday. Just wondering if I should maybe take her to the vets. I took a picture to show vet just in case, if I am aloud to upload it here for your opinions?

I am new to this forum but I know something about gunky cat poo. I have 2 seven month old Bengals. When we first got them at 14 weeks , their poo was soft and watery. I took them to the vet and she thought that the Blue Buffalo I was feeding them might be too rich. She put them on FortiFlora, nutritional supplement. This helped for awhile but my Loki started having blood in his poo.
I don't want to alarm you but my Loki tested positive for Tritrichomonas Foetus. This is highly contiguous to other cats,and it was recommended to put them both on ronidazole, ( only drug that cures this Parasite). We are on our last day of a 2 week prescription. They will be tested again in 2 weeks.
A lot of Vets do not know about Tritrichomonas Foetus. But it is most common with Bengals.
I hope your kitty is feeling better, and don't give-up. We can't have our pets suffer.

My bengal also had TF and I believe it's persisted through two treatments of ronidazole (ronidazole is the only med that works for TF, flagyl/metronidozole does not)

My previous cat had stubborn giardia when i got her

she did well on natures variety limited lamb/duck/rabbit. eventually i was able to switch her back to normal food. she did kick the giardia after a few treatments. she also enjoys raw.

although it's usually viewed that a high meat content and more wet food diet is better...
my bengal seems to be doing better on the royal canin rabbit and potato half dry, half canned wet
its expensive as gold and obviously full of starches because of the potatoes
but its the only combo that's produced normal stool in him so im payin it

Like i said above though i believe he's still also infected with trichomonas foetus (he is kept separated from my other cat)
I had him retested negative once already but it still smells like rotten eggs and still has a shiny beige color to it.
the only perfect ones he's ever had were while actively on the TF medicine. medium brown, small, not smelly. came right back a few days off of it.
I'm likely going to wait another week or so and get him retested again.
But all in all those are the two situations i dealt with and the two lines of food that helped.
I would prefer the natures variety limited ingredient ones over the royal canin RX potato rabbit ones if they worked for the bengal but alas.
