My kitten is just about a year old. She, like many bengals, is not a fan of being restrained in any way. I need to restrain her so I can clean and medicate her ears for ear mites. I was able to use a towel to wrap my abby kitty but my bengal is not having it. She wriggles out from the front , back and makes horrific scream noises. Anyone have any suggestions? Please help!

Try shooting it at her from a distance, then run! Ha ha. No. Had to give my last Bengal eye drops. Only ever managed to get a few off those in too. Our kitty has to have ear mite drops but she's only 12 weeks so hubby scuffs her whilst I squirter her. Either way it's Def a two-man job. Good luck.

Wait until she is asleep and you can sneak up on her to medicate. Get someone else to help you. Scruffing her gently can buy you the 30 seconds you need if someone else helps. Worst case scenario, take her to the vet, some will clean and medicate for $15 or so. It is really hard to do on your own, especially the cleaning part. Good luck!

Cleaning the ear is going to be painful, especially if it is already inflamed with ear mites.
Personally I would get the ears cleaned by a vet and thus it gives you the easier job of just giving the drops.
It is not safe for your cats ears for you to be attempting to clean out the ears of a squirming cat.

I would go to the vet and have them clean the ears and have a one time treatment given. This is what I had to do with Jasper and it wasn't expensive at all!
