Hello everyone,

I have a very poorly Bengal and really could do with some advice.

My bengal escaped a few weeks ago out of an upstairs window which blew open with the strong wind.

Luckly she sat in our front garden and was watching the birds. A few of our neighbours cat came over to greet her. (They are outdoor cats).

Last week I went to visit my mum who has a dog and a very large garden. Zuri and my mums dog spent a week playing and chasing each other in the garden and eating grass.

Friday night she was very sleepy and not really interested in food. Today she keeps sneezing (huge wet sneezes) and has a very runny right eye.

She keeps licking her paws and trying to clear her eye and nose.

She has eaten her food today but has slept most of the day.

I phoned the vet and they said if she is eating leave her for a day or so.

I have never dealt with poorly cat. Her vaccines boosters are due in July but she has had feligen rcp in the past.

Advice really welcome thanks from very worried owner.

She could have a respiratory infection (can clear on it's own, may need a shot from the vet), allergies or a reaction to something she ate or licked, or something more permanent like herpes, though I would be surprised if she picked that up so quickly from another cat unless she got it from her breeder.

Watch to make sure she is eating , drinking, and using the litter box. If she starts breathing with her mouth open or is super lethargic, take her into the vet.

I know it is awful when they are out of sorts. Don't feel bad about taking her to the vet, it can help her heal faster.

Well I took my baby to the vet and she had a infection/cold.

The vet gave her an injection and she was fine after 4 days.

Now back to normal....
