So, for about 2 months, Maxwell has been sneezing and coughing... Not together or in any pattern.
The cough sounds a bit like a hairball, but is non-productive (ever). I've tried listening for any rattles or crackles in his lungs, especially when he is coughing. If I tip his head up and a bit back, he is sometimes able to stop.
It's not after eating or activity, quite random.
The sneezing was accompanied by little white boogers at first, now it's a little more mucus that dries brownish... I know this because it's all over my walls after a 4 day trip out of town. Once, there was a slight brownish tinge to the snot that I wiped off the mirror, but I can't be sure it wasn't pinkish. I check for dried nose goblins all the time and they are the typical brown that matches eye boogs, no changes there.
There has been no change to their food or water intake and his energy level hasn't changed a bit. I called our new vet last week and they think it might be allergies. I'm going to take him in on Thursday, as he vomited his dry food three times while I was out of town. The pollen here in Louisiana is very different than in Florida, but I was curious whether anyone has ever seen this in a Bengal? Thanks in advance .

I was just reading the other day about sinus issues in Bengals that said some can be prone to sinus infections just like people. I can't for the life of me remember where I read it though

Diesel has had a sneeze off and on since we brought him home and at first the vet thought it was an upper respiratory infection and treated him with antibiotics but now it seems more like he's just having allergies or getting a "nose tickle" that triggers it because it has become much less frequent.

Yeah, he's a busy-body, so I'm used to him sneezing randomly.
This is 5 - 30 second bursts of repeated sneezing with quite a bit of boogs.

My Nismo goes through stages of sneezing, 15 seconds of rapid constant sneezing (its so funny when it happens i cant help but laugh). I discovered it was my new room reed diffuser - now I've thrown it away I haven't heard him sneeze for sometime now

Does he ever have weepy eyes or any eye gunk along with the sneezing or coughing? Cat herpes is growing increasingly common in the US and could be your cat's issue as even well-bred cats can get it. Unlike the STD in humans, cat herpes usually shows up as a respiratory issue kind of like a cold in humans. Lysine powder works wonders on the symptoms and would probably help even if the root of the sneezing and coughing isn't actually herpes.
