Hello everyone, this is my 5 month old bengal, Phineas. Looking for some advice about my little baby. We have had him a little over a week now. On Thursday, we started transitioning him onto Hi Life food as opposed to Felix. He paid a visit to the vet and was also wormed and flead on this day. Friday evening he is sick. It's sort of a chunky, brown consistency which we put down to his new food. We stopped feeding him this immediately and he was sick a few more times a clear, bile like consistency. We called the vet the very next day who advised that it was nothing to worry about so long as he wasn't lethargic or acting unusual which he isn't. He is absolutely fine in himself, running around, playing etc. However, it has now been 2 days and he still cannot hold any food down. Is this normal? If caused by the worming tablet how long should I expect this to happen for?

At my wits end here. :( If it is still happening tomorrow, I will be taking him to the vets. Just looking for some peace of mind really.

Can he drink or is it all just coming up? If he is not drinking or is vomiting it up, anything he drinks, then you need to take him ASAP to the vet, dehydration kills young kittens.

If he is drinking then put him back on the food he had at the breeders, one week is far too early to start changing a kitten's food.
Rehoming is stressful enough without changing foods, with all the upset that usually entails.

Keep a close eye on him, kittens can go downhill really fast, any indication he is getting ill or lethargic then straight to the vet whatever time of day it is.
Vets tomorrow sounds a good plan, unless he goes downhill in the meantime.
Worming tablets do not usually cause any upset.
Is there a possiblity he may have swallowed something and is obstructed? Is he pooing?

He seems fine with drinking, it's just food.

I have taken him to the vets this morning who has given him an anti nausea injection, some rehydration powder and some Gastrointestinal Health food.

Apparently they could find nothing else physically wrong with him so still unsure of what has caused it.
Really hoping the treatment they have given him will help him to recover quickly. :(

Fingers crossed he is okay and the vets shot does the trick.
I had similar with my Nismo when he came home - i hadn't changed his food but he was under the weather and was sick a lot.
The shot the vets gave him perked him right up and he settled in well. I waited about 2 months before changing his food, I know Felix isn't great but maybe hold out changing it just for a little bit.

I really do hope so. It's awful seeing them unwell, isn't it? :(
I think I will be sticking to Felix for a whole once he's better to be honest. Don't want to take any chances.
