I need to take Suki to be spayed soon as she is now 8 months old. I'm really worried about her going though, as I feel so cruel taking her!! I'm also a bit worried about her recovery too as she and Tilly run around after each other and play fight quite a lot. How do I stop her doing this while she is healing?

Females recover quickly after the operation. Suki may just be a little lethargic for the first 24 hours, so just feed her little and often.

Playing with Tilly shouldn't affect her stitches, unless Suki actually tries to pick at them. I would just keep an eye on them both. I think cats instinctively know when another cat is poorly/recovering and in my experience they seem to treat them with extra care!
