Hi everyone!

So my little kitty was fine until yesterday. She started drooling a lot and now her saliva has little brown spots in it. It's been one day now. Am I right to be afraid? Is it blood? I tried to check in her mouth (not an easy task...) and saw nothing on her tongue. I can't see the teeth tough, she wont let her mouth open.

I'm asking here before going to the vet (I called them and they said to wait a few days) because her sterelization is already going to cost me a lot of money. It was yesterday but I will wait since she drools.

Well thank you if any of you have an answer to that!

EDIT: I just saw her eating. She had a lot of trouble and didn't eat much...

She might have swallowed something and have a blockage.
Drooling due to blockage and irritation (as Elaine suggested) and blood could be from an object stuck inside.
Also her teeth might have a problem, you can check them a little without opening her mouth, get a helper to hold her (in a towel if required) and with gentle pressure pull her cheek with a thumb to reveal her teeth.
(same for bottom teeth)
She may not appreciate this and complain (even nip at you) but its for her own good and she will get over it.

Vet/nurse have a way to open the mouth fully and keep it open (you may have seen them do it) but it is something they are very practised at so safer for them to do that tbh.

I agree you should goto the vet asap due to her not being able to eat and blood in her saliva.
This saliva over-production on its own is not normal...

Thanks for your answers. I took an appointment but now she stopped drooling. I think it was something logged in her throat, and the brown-ish spots were her food.

(did she cough something up that you have found?)

IMO you should still goto that appointment and have the vet feel for any foreign object inside kitty.
It is a gamble to assume it hasnt worked its way down to into her gut where it could stick again and not pass through her.
