Hi, I took my two fur babies to the vets today for a flea & worm check and whilst I was there the vet said that they both had a slight heart murmur!! She told me not to panic and she thinks it's an innocent heart murmur that should disappear as they get older. Has anyone experienced this with their kitties? Thanks

How old are they?

When i took daisy for her vet check a few days after getting her, the vet's found that she had a heart murmur, of course I freaked out because of everything I have going on with another cat, but they said not to worry, it could be the stress and generally they grow out of it, that if she hadn't grown out of it by the time she was 6 months, then they would do further testing.

Needless to say that a few weeks later, when i took her to the vets, they could no longer hear the heart murmur :)

Hi sazza thanks for the reply. Glad daisy is ok
I'm hoping they will grow out of it, they are 15 weeks and 20 weeks so still babies, that's why the vet said it could be due to their age and will go, I just hadn't heard of it before. Hopefully it will go, I'll get them to check again next time I'm there xx
