Hiya,my kitten hasnt had her eating habits changed. i feed her 1 pouch of hi life essentials a day and as much dry food as she wants (i feed her royal canin kitten 36 and purely kitten chicken dry food.) she has started to go off the purely so yesterday it was just royal canin food as her dry food. she has had runny poo for about 3 days now and im not sure whether to go to docs or what to feed her. what do you recommend?

also she was chasing a fly yesterday and then i heard a gagging noise so she MIGHT have eaten the fly before i could try and get it out the house witout her getting outside (she hasnt had her out door jabs yet). but at times she sounds like her meow is hoarse, her breathing is a bit heavy and you can hear it in her lungs also that it is heavy. she is just over 4 months so do you think she may have swallowed a tooth that scratched her throat or something as i think she is at the teething age?

If she has been runny poop / diarrhoea for three days and is not eating - Straight to the vet. You cannot delay with one so young.
Fingers crossed it will all be OK, but you cannot take the risk.

She should also be getting at least two - three meals of wet every day - You cannot feed only dry foods to a kitten, as they do not get the nutrients they need to grow from a purely dry diet.

Just to clarify, she has had diahrea for 2 days not 3 (whoops) and she is eating fine, it's just that she doesn't like purely :)

Also I am going to start decreasing dry and increasing wet food till she's just eating wet food. 3-4 pouches a day. Only reason she's not on all wet at the mo is because I have 2 big bags of purely for her to get through!

Give the purely away to cat rescue!

If she doesn't like it find something she does. It is far more important that she eats properly than you save a bit of money.
