Well, I just got a heartbreaking email from the breeder. The Bengal cat died yesterday. She didn't tell me if they had to put him down, or if he naturally died, but he did die

I asked her how he died, and she told me that he was on a rug that was above a heating vent, just resting at the house. When they sat down for dinner, he got under the table near their feet. He fell asleep and never woke up. She said they noticed him when they were cleaning the dishes and he wasn't moving at all. She said he was a very special cat and will always be in their hearts.

It is amazing how I never met the cat, but I did see weekly updates of his progress since the time he was just a few hours old. I grew pretty attached to him. I am glad that he won't have to lead a tough life with the problem he had with the esophagus. He will definitely be missed.

Awww The poor little fella...such sad news.
