Regarding the blood-in-the-stool thing. Sometimes cats will do that if they have a food allergy to something you are feeding them. It also is a common symptom if you cat has a parasite. If it's not one of those two things, than it may be something more serious

I would be looking for patterns like:

a. Does the bloody stool tend to happen when a particular brand/flavor of food is eaten? If yes, that it could be a food allergy.
b. When it happens, is there also diarrhea and/or a particularly strong smell? If yes, than it could be a parasite.
c. how is your cat behaving? Normal activity level? Behaving normally otherwise? If your cats behaving differently, or less active, then you might want to talk to your vet, especially if the bloody stool happens several times.

Bengal Fan

My Bengal has had the same blood in stool issue ever since I brought him home. I have taken him to my vet on numerous occassions, had hundreds of dollars of testing done on him, with negative results, and the issue has not been resolved. Every time I bring him in, he has a low grade fever. He occassionally has blood in his soft formed stools. He has been on the same food, with no changes. I began a search on line, trying to find out if someone else has had the same issue with their Bengal. I have come to find out that I am not nearly the "only" case. With further research, I have come across to potential answers: Irritable Bowl Disease (IBD), or Tritrichomonas Foetus (TF). After reading the following, I am seeking out the test for TF, as it best describes many of the symptoms my kitten is having.
