I'm posting this thread because I couldn't find a real answer to this (maybe there's none, I don't know, I read there was a big polemic about it). I was tell by my breeder to use killed vaccinations only because they are bengals and may react badly to any others. I fully trust her, but the vets around are not so keen to be tell what to do... And I do my homeworks!
So, what should I do? Trust my breeder who knows bengal with her vet for many years or let my local vet who don't know them (she told me) decides what is best?? My girls are due soon, and I want to do what's best for them! Any advices will be appreciated!

That's a tricky one! Luckily for me, one of the vets at our surgery is a Bengal owner anyway, and we always seem to get her for our routine check-ups etc, so i know she, at least, fully understands the breed.

If you believe your girls need that little extra bit of care, and you're willing to pay for it, then why shouldn't you? Have a word with your vets - maybe they'll be glad to learn something new...?

I don't know if it's possible to find killed vaccines for every pathogen, as some don't work as well as attenuated vaccines.

My breeder (in France but she's american) used the usual vaccines (with Chlamydia though) and didn't report any problems... except that Chaos was sick after his first shot but it must habe been a coincidence...

I gave him his "second first" shot (as he was sick he didn't got his second shot so it start again) yesterday with approx. the same vaccine (without Chlamydia) and no reactions .

Try to tell your vet you'd like that better, perhaps ask your breeder for the brand and tell your vet you'd like to continue with the same... but do it beforehand as he may not have it and may need to buy it .
