Really at my wits end now

The blood results said he did have lots of white blood cells,and he was still very inflamed,his liver and kidneys are fine,so if these antibiotics don't work and the Royal Canin sensitve food doesn't work they will give him steroids or inflamitries

don't know how we are going to afford all this

I have been mixing the Royay Canin with his food he has been used to since Monday,but this morning there was two lots of poo's with blood in it still,so I will give him Royal Canin on its own now with no other food mixed in and see how it goes.Have been told that a raw meat diet might help from someone else.I really don't know what to do next any help would be very helpful. Have you tried Hill's I/D wet food ?

A friend has got a kitten with diarrhea since she got him and since she put him on this food it seems to improve.

But yes, corticoids (anti inflammatories steroids) may help him if he's got IBD (inflammatory bowel disease)

Thanks Anna, he has just been again now 3rd time today already,have just rang the vets he is going to ring us back cos he is busy,he was straining this time still a lot of mucus in it and it was just hanging from his bum too, (which I haven't noticed before.

fingers crossed for you hun...
I would be tempted to stay with just one type of bland food till his tummy settles.. ( instead of try this and try that- just my opinion for what its worth) :wink:

but remember things take time and whatever you feed him wont change instantly..xx
would have though plain boiled chicken fillets cut into tiny pieces would be ok..
your vet will help you...xxxx

Before I took him to the vets he did go quite a few more times and one of the times it was just mucas and blood,the vet said its because he feels like he wants to go all the time

He is still very inflamed and it must be painful for him,he gave him an anti flamatry injection to last till tues when we go back again, (Iknow its spelt wrong just can't think) :oops:

He reconds that it still could of been caused by stress and can take a few months to get better
