Sad to say, one of my kittens has blood in her stool. I am watching the litterbox like a hawk to find out which one! My question is...how old can the poo be that gets tested? I noticed the first really red wet one this morning, and as I'm sifting the box, I could see a story line of firm, to diarhhea to the bright red wet. I have to start work at 7am so wouldn't be able to get a sample to the vet until the afternoon. Both the kittens are playing with full on energy and are eating well. Jamilah is finally on the kibble and is gaining weight.

For the standard tests what you can get from the litter box within the last 12 hrs or so I think will be OK. Some tests have to be on fresh poo unfortunaley (not nice) but the Vet will decide this. However if there is lots of blood I would take the kitten probably both if you can't find out which one it is to the Vet A.S.A.P. Kittens are very good at hiding problems mainly because all they want to do is play and some infections don't actually make them feel ill.
Please get them to the Vets to be sure.

Thanks, hopefully(or not) before I go to work there will be another show. If there is one this evening, would freezing it be beneficial? I think I know which one it is...she has these liquid eyes that say "I'm not great"
