Hi

I will be purchasing my new baby on Sunday. I am wanting to show him with my DD 10. She has always awanted to do this.

What do I need to do to get started? She will be registered and comes from a great blood line. I will have breeding rights on her. (dont know if I would need that to show).

What do I need to know? What is the average cost per show for a bengal?

I don't know if you are UK or USA, whichever one there are show listings, in the USA for CFA, ACFA and TICA amongst others.

Costs to enter here differ by organization. Sakura's first show cost me:

Show entry: $30 - but she is HHP and they are usually cheaper
Extra grooming space - $20
Extra half cage - $20

Then I had to buy her rugs for the bottom of the cage and a few other sundry things like wipes, small litter tray etc.

If you buy a cage for yourself to use they have some great ones that are collapsible and just pop open and those set you back about $190 give or take a bit. Then there are lots of extras for them.

oh and it cost $20 to register Saki with the one organization.

I am in the US. Is there shows I can do with my dd? IS there special training I have to put my kitty through?

IS there any special questions I need to ask the breeder I am buying my bengal from ?

I would suggest that you do what I did and use your search engine for information. You Tube have a lot of videos of cat shows where you can see what goes on. Also the organizations I have mentioned have sections on their websites with information about shows and how they work.
