Thanks everyone.

I'm so pleased with Leon, he took it all in his stride. He was up againt tough opposition. The cat that came first in his open already has three MC so Leon was right up against it. Maybe next time.

apparently just as Leon was coming out to be judged and just before Kato went mad there was a loud bang. So dont think that helped. But there would have been other cats spooked to.

A nordiquestar bengel won their open, the one Kato was in. An a bengal won best in show. That was fantasic for the Bengal exhibitors as they all get behind each other.

Roll on Chester for Leon.

The judge report is in already

2nd Jones’ Leon Brown Spotted MN 10 months
What a handsome lad! He has a superb silky coat and is another boy in great condition. He has big lustrous eyes, a very appealing expression and a lithe body and strong legs. He was nervous today and not really happy out of his pen but he was in no way aggressive and I am sure as his confidence grows he will go on to win certificates but Pepe Reina’s extra experience and confidence just gave him the edge. I do hope his owner continues to show him as he has masses of potential.

I'm so proud of him :D

Well done, glad to hear you had a better experience with the judges this time around! :)

I'm intrigued with who won the open though! Was it Jasper or Tia by any chance?

The judge was lovely - spent a lot of time talking to both her and her steward. As she said in her report he was just nervous and to keep on trying. The steward kept on commenting on his coat. Sounds like we need to work on his nerves and he could (fingers crossed) do well. But at Chester he will have 100% of my attention. :D

Meemonkey - it was Nordiquestar Super Shadow who won his Open. Didn't realise who it was as wasn't round there much  Have my show catalogue in front of me and he was next door

Also just checked the catalogue and Nordiquestar Sans Prix was the only one in her open - so we can safely assume she won that

That's Tia that won the female open.

She's a lovely sweet little girl, not seen her for a while now...

And Jasper is the boy....he should get his Premier title with this win I think. The last time I saw Jasper he had a real nice chestnut tone to his coat, hope he's kept this.

Thinking about it, Tia must be on the way to getting hers now...

Wow congratulations. What a lovely judge's report - that's the correct way to write them, picking up on the issue of him being nervous but also highlighting the positives and being encouraging too. I'm so glad it was a better experience for you.

Thanks guys.

It was a much better experience for me this time. As I said the judge was lovely and when I asked her for her feed back, she was happy to tell me but kept enphasising that Leon was not aggressive. Shame she isn't judging at Chester.

Kato is just not up for showing, fair enough, maybe I can get Leon a double pen next time and he can have a stretch out  Didn't realise how much they have both grown lately

The pet owners are also lovely, there was a bengal cross in the non pedigree's and he was ginger!! lovely lad and his litter brother was like a brown marble.
