Merseyside Cat Club Show 6/6/09

Anyone going to this one at Ellesmere Port?

It's my first show and I am so nervous, so would be great to see some friendly faces or have an advice for a show "complete" novice. :lol:

Well we are back. The boys are now fast asleep. Kato is hissing at Leon (when awake), but hope that will stop once they have had a rest

Well to the results

Kato won
Second in the open class and two seconds and one third in the side classes

Leon won
Three thirds in the side classes.

I am really pleased with my boys as it was their first time and were good considering. Shame the end of the day was marred by one judge seeking me out just to tell me not to waste my money on Leon and that Kato was a rat bag! :evil:

needless to say he was the only judge not to place them!!

Upset me :cry:

but didn't let him see. The way he said things were out of line. Thank goodness for my new Bengal buddies I found there.

oh rachel that's awful :evil:

i wouldn't let him get away with that so that he could carry on upsetting people, especially a newbie like yourself trying to enjoy your first show! what was the problem? were the boys a bit temperamental?
whatever it was, he could have just put a note on the pen that they were unhandlable & spoken to you politely about it, there was no need to do that to you.
i would personally put a written complaint into the show manager & to the GCCF. at the end of the day, this is a hobby that we should be able to enjoy & he could ruin that experience for people.

anyway...i hope you & the boys had a fab day despite him & yay, you brought home some rosettes!!!

Congratulations and looking forward to the photographs. Ignore the judge, he obvously isn't getting anything at home and has taken it out on you :lol:
