Hi,
where are you all? I miss you . . .
A quick question - does Tica ever do any shows up north?
If not, can I put a silver bengal in for "assesment" in a gccf show? Or have I got the wrong end of the stick completely?

My thoughts exactly - I thought something was wrong as no-one's posted anything at all since the weekend!

I know
I guess they are all busy looking after kittens or something.

Speaking of which, have you seen Heidi and Meemonkey's kitten cam?
I have had it on my desktop all day and looking at the kittens makes my brain melt
Mother is feeding and washing them right now.
So lovely.
Sigh . . .

I have looked at it before - wouldn't dare have it there all day though - I'd never get any work done!!

I am very impatiently waiting to meet our two boys for the first time - going to see them over the Bank Hol weekend and the breeder will have to restrain me from putting them in my pocket to take home :D

Hi Tanith,
I think we have all been busy with our cats as you said. My female breeding queen has not been very well  constipation and cystitis. Plus I was getting a new kitten at the weekend and had to delay it.
Anyhow, yes there are some Tica shows up north quite soon. There is one in july in Newcastle, and another in Blackpool in early august. If you look at the Tica website you can get some more details on location, how to enter, etc. You cannot enter a silver bengal in a GCCF cat show as they do not recognise them, hence the popularity of the Tica shows with bengal owners, and with some of the up and coming new breeds too. Hope this helps. I have entered my snow spotted bengal in 4 shows, 3 were GCCF, and one was with Tica. I liked the Tica show as I handled my own cat, and take her to the judging rings, whereas at GCCF shows the stewards do this. I also found the atmosphere to be more relaxed at the Tica show :) which helps the owners and the cats

We're still alive, Just very busy with work and cat related stuff!

As Julie says....Tica is a very relaxed format of showing, not just for the exhibitors but the members of the public also. The only problem is that most shows are in the south, however there's two shows in the north coming up soon and its worth mentioning that the one at blackpool is also a 2 day event......so maybe it's worth you getting a hotel and spending the weekend if your thinking of going. We don't live that far away from blackpool so no getting up at stupid-o-clock for us......a very refreshing change! 8)

Tica shows are very imformative and extremely entertaining compared to GCCF shows, the judges are very loving towards the cats and especially good at handling the bengals.....btw you only have to listen to know when there's bengals in any of the rings.....The judges seem to welcome and embrace the foul language from our cats.

Glad you like the webcams.....its kinda hard keeping the kittens in one place unless they're in the "off" position. We use wireless cams just so we can move them around more easily, the downside of this is any outside visitors suffer a bad fps making it look bit a staggered.....we're going to get a new set maybe after summer that'll stream a bit better and also hopefully they'll have the remote tilt and pan option enabling you to chase them around the room yourself!

Anyways I hope some of you may make it to blackpool.....even if its just as visitors just so you can get a feel for Tica.

Now I must fade into the background once again.....jobs to do unfortunatley!
