I regularly have to fork out that amount when I go to shows as I see, (from where you live), that you also have to. And it IS a real pain in the wallet so I really sympathise.
But as you say, it has to be fair for everyone so that is why I suggested an official member vote on it, then everyone would have to put up with the result whether it suited them or not.

I wouldn't want the show moved any further north I must admit.
I can sympathise with the distance others have to travel to attend.
The distance is a huge factor when deciding to attend a show for us as I'm sure it is for many others.

Annie there is a Gccf show coming up at Taunton in September, which isn't too far to travel.

Cages??? Just got back from the West of England show so I'm maybe not thinking straight but not sure what you mean.
Am I missing something Don't recall mentioning cages!!

in the show pics, the cats are all in metal cage type compounds. I am not sure what else to call them, in the pics where you can see the cats rosettes. he is in a 'cage' with a litter tray.....its the housing 'thingy' the cat is confined in...sorry for my ignorance.

Michelle, I would imagine the cat cages or crates are similar if not the same as dog crates.. If cat shows are anything like dog shows there will be stands at some of the bigger shows selling them or there will be lots of online stores you can get them from too, probably e.bay also?

Gee I wish they did that at dog shows for you, tho I think they'd struggle with crates or cages big enough for the Great Danes LOL!!!! Theyre is usualy benching for dogs at some of the bigger dog shows, but Dane people tend not to use them apart from at crufts.

thanks all, I was just wondering, i am thinking about showing mine and when i read up on the rules and all the what to do's and what not to do's i was left scratching my head.

i think i will just spectate a couple until i get to see what 'goes' on. there is one in my town in Sept and i am so excited about it. the northern cat club or something like that, so it wont just be Bengals: i just dont know what to expect.

that's the best way michelle, go take a look & chat to a few people there. it will help you get your bearings. we usually call the cages "pens" lol but same thing
