I have shown my bengals now 4 yeras in FIFE shows. They are quite different than TICA shows, I think (never atended one, but going to this autumn
). Here is some detaljes about FIFE shows.
Cat can have one judging per show, you have a written document about your cat.
Breeds are divided in four categorys, I = persian and exotic II= semilonghairs and their shorthaired versions (Amnerican Curly Longhair and Shorthair etc.) III= shorthairs and their semilonghaired versions (abesinian and somali etc.) bengal belongs in this category and IV = oriental cats (siamese, oriental shorthairs/longhairs...) and of course household pets in their own classes.
Cats are collecting certificates in different classes witch are: Champion/Premior (for altered cats), International Champion/Int. Premior, Grand International Champion/G. Int Premior and Europa Champion/Europa Premior. Kittens have two classes, 3-6 months and 6-10 months.
First, every cat gets their individual judging
This is one of Laras judgings, when she was a kitten
If there are more than one cats in same class, same sex, judge must compare wich one is better and gets certificate (or excellent 1 and so one wiht kittens). If there enough cats in same colour (t.e.x. BEN n 24) one of them can become Best in Variaty.
When a judge have seen all her/his cats it is time for nominations. Every judge chooses her/his best adult male and female, best neutered female/male, kitten and young. These nominated cats competes against other judges nom. cats in final panel.
There are some FIFE shows in UK every year and if you are interrested in FIFE shows and want to try, please, ask, I help where I can. Cats registered in other organizations can compete in FIFe shows when they have a show license.
