Hello my name is Mikayla and I rencetly just bought a bengal kitten from a breeder in Kitchener Ontario. I am so excited you have no idea! I was wondering what quality my kitten is. Could anyone help tell me if my kitten is pet quality, breeder quality, or even show quality. I know he is very young still but I have a few pictures to show! He is not done his "fuzzies" yet so it may be hard to identify but I just figure some of you have more knowing on what the breed standard is!

Thank you!

Sorry, I can't help as I have no idea. Just want to say he is very cute! Maybe someone with more knowledge could help you but I would have thought that was something your breeder would know? Anyway, congrats on your new Bengal!

A gorgeous boy! :welcome:

If I remember correctly for a show quality Bengal there should be no 'rib bars' which is the lines directly behind the front legs. At the moment he does have considerable bars visible, but I don't know if these will break up as he matures....

Personally, unless I was going to spend a fortune on a top show quality kitten, I would be very happy with his markings - The double rosettes along his flanks are very unusual! Lots of piccies as he grows are the order of the day, here! :wink1:

What a beautiful kitten! Like stated above I wouldn't worry to much about what "quality" he is! You can go to ten breeders and ask them what a show quality or breeder quality is and you will get ten different answers!! IMO he is better "quality" than most as far as markings!!! I really dislike the word quality when referring to a pet  he is beautiful and he has very different markings which I love!

As a breeder, I would consider this kitten pet quality. He is an absolutely gorgeous guy, but I would sell him as a pet if he were mine ;)
