Some great pictures from the day....good work Lewis!
Anyhoo Neal I've said it before.....you're a dark horse lad!
I had no idea you we're so close to being a grandparent, you kept that very quiet on the day.....congratulations, she's absolutely gorgeous mate.
Actually, hang on a sec there grandad, doesn't that make you offically an
OLD twirly now?
Also it was nice to finally meet Martyn, a really nice guy who insisited that I called him filthy.....his choice not mine!
Tracey, Gary, Sue and young Lewis the offical forum paparazzi was also there, everyone who was showing had droves of public chatting away to them before and after dinner so we lost track of them all.....until Sue appeared and demanded we got some lunch saving us from fainting with starvation. (thanks for that Sue
)
We got some lunch from subway and saw two strangers loitering around JD Wetherspoons....I wonder?
When we got back to the show hall we were hounded again by the public asking all kinds of questions, I looked up at one point and noticed Neal had hordes of women surrounding him......he was just showing off china (chi-chi) to the masses though!
She was beautiful and is undoubtably a breathtaking example of a marble patterned bengal......she's sooOO affectionate too, giving kisses and puddling away like crazy, she deserved all the attention she got and with her lineage she'll make a fantastic ambassador for marbles within the GCCF after they get their much awaited new status in June.....she'll do absolutely anything for food that girl.
I hope we see much more of her Neal, she's a foxy little lady who's sure to steal hearts wherever she goes!
Our boy Th'uproar was in the champion class and recieved a reserve award, to those that don't know thats a very respectable second place, we were really pleased with his turnout and the result, the judges critique was very complimentary on all counts especially his presentation.....he also had small crowds forming around his pen all day, they all gave nice comments on his lovely warm coloring and also about how muscular and strong looking he is.
Here's a pic of our Th'up!
The public around the bengal section all loved the fact that we offered our cats up for them to touch and stroke, many took pictures and most had said they had never seen a bengal up close before nor did they really know much about their ancestory, even people exhibiting other breeds showed an interest and came over to chat and feel the softness of their pelts.
Overall I'm positive alot of people went home knowing much more about the bengal breed that day thanks to how some of the exhibitors welcomed them, and we even convinced a couple of pet owners to try showing out for themselves.
By the end of the day everyone was totally knackered, although I did find the energy to score a kiss off Miss Bliss before we left....result!
Also a big thanks for the stickers Sue, they looked fab and really went down well with the public....I don't know what we'd of done without them...you're a star!
