Hi All

We've had a very successful day at the UK's first TICA show CatTICA. Tally got 2nd and 3rd's in all 5 rings (she didn't gain a title as they don't apply to kittens) HOWEVER......Evvie not only gained CHAMPION status but she also gained GRAND CHAMPION status. The judges loved her face/head/ears/eyes and she was entered in 3 out of the 5 finals. To say we are DELIGHTED is an understatement. Luke has bought them a panic mouse as a reward and he's currently peeing his sides laughing whilst the girls are going WILD trying to catch the mouse :D

There where only four Bengals that gained titles at the show. Two got Championship titles and two (one of which was us) got GRAND CHAMPION titles. We still can?t believe it

Anyway, just wanted to say a big thanks to LaVon for the advice on the curtains. I ended up making my own (albeit very basic) and managed to get the top cover fitted PERFECTLY as I made it slightly larger as suggested.

Here's a few pics of the girls at the show!

Wow, congratulations :o I thought Evvie would do well as she is very distinctive!

The panic mouse won't last long, ours know that the best way to "beat it" is to stand with paws on the mouse and grab the wand and hold it down B)

Thanks Gavin.....And about the panic mouse, Ours have the exact same plan of attack.....pin it down then in for the kill!

They should put a health warning on it though.....They're little hearts were beating like mad after five minutes

Hi Heidi
CONGRATULATIONS!!
Sorry I missed you, thank you for attending our show, there were a few hiccups but we eventually got them sorted, apart from it being a long day everyone seemed to have a great time. Hope you will be at our next show;)
Love
Dawn

Hi Dawn

I think I did see you (I'm sure it was you on the door who was 'checking' everyone in prior to vetting in). I was going to introduce myself but it was pretty obvious that everyone was really busy :D

All the other exhibitors I spoke to really enjoyed the show, regardless of any hick-ups...It would have been nice to have the presentation at the end but 'time-wise' things did kind of run over slightly ;)

We we're so pleased with our cats at the show, I've been like an annoying proud mum telling EVERYBODY (and I mean everybody) just how well we did and how great the show was

I had heard a rumour that there may not be another TICA show in the UK for a while but I really hope that?s not the case, we can't wait 'till the next show, and I anticipate that there will be a whole lot more people turning up, (Bengal owners in particular) :)

Anyway, you should all give yourselves a well-deserved pat on the back at CatTICA for putting the show together it really was great. I've not been to many shows but I've been to enough to realise that the TICA format of showing is great, it's nice not having to find somewhere to sit for hours while the judging goes on and it gives you a lot more time to talk to other exhibitors (or in my case mider them )

Any idea when the results will be on the site?
